Halite is rock salt — sodium and chlorine alternating in a cubic lattice, every ion locked at right angles to its neighbors, repeating without end. It is the crystal structure most of us met first, as a diagram in a chemistry classroom, and one of the cleanest examples of order in nature.
This edition renders the unit cell as an isometric drawing — ions and bonds in fine line, the cube opened up so the geometry reads at a glance. Printed on heavyweight matte poster stock in 12 x 16 or 18 x 24 inches.
