Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to browse and buy here, whatever they use to do it. This page says what we aim for, where we currently fall short, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

The standard we target

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA. That is the benchmark referenced by the European Accessibility Act through EN 301 549, and the one commonly applied to retail sites in the United States.

What works today

Every image carries alternative text. Pages have one main heading, a named main landmark, and a skip link that jumps past the header straight to the content. The menu is a real dialog, so keyboard focus stays inside it and Escape closes it. Text scales and the page can be pinch-zoomed; nothing here blocks that. Cart updates, filter counts and form errors are announced to screen readers rather than only changing on screen. Colour contrast across the palette exceeds the Level AA minimum, and animation is suppressed for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.

Where we know we fall short

Two things, both honest rather than exhaustive. Product photography is flat-lay only, so alternative text describes the artwork rather than how a garment sits on a body. And we have not yet run a full manual screen-reader pass across every route, so this statement rests on code review, measured colour contrast and automated checks rather than on lived testing with assistive technology. We would rather say that plainly than imply a level of assurance we have not earned.

Checkout

Payment is handled on Shopify's own checkout, which we do not build or control. Its accessibility is Shopify's. If you hit a barrier there, tell us anyway — we will pass it on and help you complete the order another way.

Tell us if something blocks you

If any part of this site stops you doing something, send us a message. Tell us the page and what happened, and what you were using if you know it. A real person reads it. We aim to reply within five business days, and if something is blocking a purchase we will help you place the order directly.
