Absorption — Spectra Tee
The Sun's light isn't continuous. Pass it through a prism and the rainbow has dark cuts in it Fraunhofer's lines, where the Sun's own outer atmosphere absorbs wavelengths its interior emits.
Printed to scale on black cotton, the missing wavelengths hold their true positions: 430.8, 486.1, 517.3, 527.0, 589.0, 656.3 and 686.7 nanometres. Front placement, soft-hand finish.
Spectra reads matter by its light. This is the inverse of the collection's Emission poster where emission adds lines to darkness, absorption subtracts them from a continuum, and both spell out the same periodic table.
