Strontium is the red in fireworks. Its emission lines from 460 to 605 nanometres are the reason pyrotechnicians reach for this metal whenever a display needs true crimson.
What you're wearing
Printed to scale on black cotton, the wavelengths hold their true positions, each rendered in the colour it emits. Front placement, soft-hand finish. Spectra reads matter by its light. Strontium sits one row below calcium on the table, close enough in chemistry to substitute for it and cause trouble in fallout.
