Tripedal survey walker. Three legs at 120 degrees with the instrument bay at the centroid of the stance triangle — the middle is left empty on purpose, because that is where the sensor has to sit.

Two legs cannot stand still; four put a chassis where the instrument wants to be. Stance diameter 1180 mm, nine degrees of freedom, 34 kg. It advances by lifting one leg and rotating 120 degrees on a central slew ring rather than by striding. Front print, technical specimen plate. Unisex fit, 100% cotton.
