Lunokhod 1 reached the Moon aboard the Soviet Luna 17 lander on November 17, 1970, in Mare Imbrium, and drove down a ramp onto the surface the same day. Steered by a crew on Earth, it was the first robotic rover to drive on another world, and it covered about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) in roughly ten months. Drawn in the manner of a vector display, where an electron beam traces green lines with an amber afterglow. Panoramic 2:1 matte poster on museum-grade archival paper. Four sizes: 20 x 10, 30 x 15, 40 x 20 and 48 x 24 in. Frame not included.
