Mendeleev's Gaps Desk Mat

$32.49

In 1869, Dmitri Mendeleev arranged the elements and left question marks where he predicted elements no one had found yet.

Gallium turned up in 1875, scandium in 1879 and germanium in 1886, close to what he predicted (Royal Society of Chemistry). Drawn in the manner of letterpress, wood and metal type pressed deep into card. Full-bleed XL desk mat, 16 x 32 in.

Made to order — pressed and shipped in the US.

Shipping & production

Made to order. Pressed and shipped in the US, with delivery time added on top depending on your destination.

US standard shipping is charged by weight and shown at checkout before you pay. For one item it starts at $4.95 for a tee, $5.09 for a cap, $6.99 for a poster or mug, $8.79 for a hoodie or sweatpants and $10.79 for a desk mat; more items add weight.

Each piece is made to order, so we can’t accept returns for a change of mind or the wrong size — please check the size guide first.

If an item arrives damaged or misprinted, contact us through the contact form within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we’ll arrange a free reprint or refund — no need to send anything back.
