Upside-Down Hallucigenia Tee
When Hallucigenia was named in 1977, from fossils in the Burgess Shale of British Columbia, it was drawn walking on its spines.
What you're wearing
In 1991 it was turned right side up, and in 2015 its head was found at the end once taken for the tail. Drawn in the manner of carved lacquer: coats of red, black and ochre lacquer built up, then cut back to show the layers. The black is the shirt. Front print. Unisex fit, 100% cotton.

Made to order. Pressed and shipped in the US, with delivery time added on top depending on your destination.
US standard shipping is charged by weight and shown at checkout before you pay. For one item it starts at $4.95 for a tee, $5.09 for a cap, $6.99 for a poster or mug, $8.79 for a hoodie or sweatpants and $10.79 for a desk mat; more items add weight.
Each piece is made to order, so we can’t accept returns for a change of mind or the wrong size — please check the size guide first.
If an item arrives damaged or misprinted, contact us through the contact form within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we’ll arrange a free reprint or refund — no need to send anything back.
